Break3 vs Quitzilla: habit quit trackers compared

Break3 vs Quitzilla compared: day counting, prices, platforms, privacy and shared habits, from their site and store pages as of 5 November 2026.

Quitzilla and Break3 are closer than most pairs. Both count days without a habit, and both handle many habits at once, from cigarettes and alcohol to sugar and porn. The differences are where your data lives, whether other people are involved, and what the app does beyond the counter. This comparison uses quitzilla.com and the App Store and Google Play listings, checked on 5 November 2026. Prices are from the US App Store and differ elsewhere.

The short version

Quitzilla is a tidy personal counter on your phone. It needs no sign-up, keeps data on the device and counts the money you save. Break3 suits you if you want to quit with friends, use it in the browser or in Telegram, and have an AI coach at hand.

Where Quitzilla is stronger

Privacy. Quitzilla's site says plainly that there is no sign-up and no server of its own: your data stays on the phone and only goes into the phone's backup. The app does collect analytics and crash reports, and on iPhone these include the name of the habit you add. If you don't want any server to know about your habit, Quitzilla is stricter than Break3.

Money and statistics. Quitzilla counts what you've saved and turns it into rewards; Premium adds charts, widgets, CSV export and a Face ID, Touch ID or fingerprint lock. It holds 4.8 out of 5 from about 1,500 App Store ratings and 4.6 from 96,000 Google Play reviews.

More templates, too: its site names 14, including gambling, coffee and video games, and promises 11 more in the app.

Where Break3 is different

Break3 is entirely free, with any number of habits and no ads.

Break3 doesn't send you back to zero for one slip. One missed day is forgiven on its own, you can freeze your streak for three days ahead of a hard stretch, and a broken streak can be restored within a week, once every 90 days per habit. The details are in How streaks work.

In Break3 you can quit together with friends. Each person keeps their own streak and check-ins show in the feed; a private habit is visible only to you.

Break3 also opens in the browser and in Telegram and has an AI coach and the portrait: you answer a couple of questions about who you want to be in a year, upload a selfie, and an AI draws you. New levels, earned with steps from check-ins, open the next portraits.

Which to pick

If you want a personal counter on your phone that sends nothing to a server and counts money, go with Quitzilla. If you'd rather quit alongside friends, with a coach to hand, right in the browser or Telegram, try Break3.

Guides by habit are under Habits: sugar, smoking, vaping, alcohol, porn and your phone.
